December 6--Sandestin -Panama City. Harbortowne Marina is very accommodating but the marina is exposed to winds from the Northeast and naturally the winds from the northeast were kind of ugly last night. The boat rocked and rolled and and the water slapped against the boat and Judy did not sleep too good. 8:30 am was the departure time with strong NE winds still blowing. Part of our trip was across Choctwachee Lake so we had some whitecap waves but nothing serious. We talked to my sister Debbie( my brother Mike's travel agent) and she had made arrangements for Mike to travel to Panama City from his home in Tarpon Springs by Greyhound bus. Mike was expected to arrive about 3pm. The bus station was only a 20 minute ride from the marina on the "hot shoe express" (walking) as Mike put it. Indeed he did show up about 4pm (we arrived about 2pm at the Panama City marina). He only lost his ticket twice before he got on the bus but each time he managed to find it or have Debs fax him a new one! We were entertained with this and other stories that evening as we had dinner at a mighty fine little Italian restaurant in downtown Panama city. No other loopers here.
