Our trip back to the Bahmas from home was uneventful. We were able to bypass Miami and that makes the flights more pleasant. Up next on the Boat Harbour agenda is the Beach Party on the 31st. John & Gail and Judy and myself are the co-chair for the event. We have planned a Limbo contest, "legs" contest, conch blowing, as well as sand skiing. The sand skiing event is pictured. Not quite as simple as it looks -it takes lots of coordination (left-- right and all at the same time). John and I spent several days asking for volunteers for the various duties and contests-not one person turned us down-that is the nature of everyone here. The resort prepared the meal ( hot dogs and hamburgers). The Yacht Club furnished the drinks. Many boaters are preparing for their departure back to the States so we were concerned that we wouldn't have many people at the party. Everybody loves a Beach Party and in the end 120 people came. The local Limbo guy was engaged to put on a show but apparently he doesn't wear a watch either and he was late for his own show -when he did show-he was scratched from the show-- and our own members gave us great entertainment even though they obviously broke some of the rules of limbo.
