The trip to Key West from Marathon was fantastic. Our route took us in the Atlantic Ocean on the south side of the Keys, a distance of some 49 miles. Arrival time at A&B Marina in Key West was about 3pm. We sterned our little 40' boat into the 60' docks. Our dock lines were barely long enough to reach the pilings at the bow of the boat. We are small potatoes here. The length of the dock is lined with multimillion dollar boats and if you can imagine they are rigged for serious fishing. The picture shows the view from our boat looking down the dock. The A&B Marina is right downtown. If you have ever been here, it is not far from Mallory square where the sunset party takes place every night and the varieties (and vagarities) of Duvall St is not far away. Judy and I have been here several times before, but we never imagined that someday we would arrive in our own boat. Although it rained yesterday, and the wind blew like crazy last evening and last night, the wind is supposed to die and temperature's will be back to normal, high 70's for the foreseeable weather window. For 2 weeks we will be camped out here to enjoy the weather until we move on. Statute miles travelled 3617. Fuel used 1989 gallons
