Arrival week- Tom & Patsy Conrad of True North arrived this week and they are just 2 boats from us. On Thursday we invited them for dinner on our boat. A delightful evening. Afterwards they introduced us to a game of Pass The Pig. Never heard of it?-- neither had I (Google it). On Friday evening Don & Sharon Barger arrived. They will be traveling with us until the 22nd. On Saturday, the four of us walked to Jay's house which is only 9 blocks away. Jay invited us back, as his late wife Elizabeth was a good friend of Sharons. Again a marvelous time in Jay and Susan's garden setting. Jay's cousin, Dr. Phil Tindel, had arrived to see Jay. We all had a secret that we kept from Judy and even Sharon did a good job of keeping the secret. On Saturday evening someone stepped on the back of the boat and said "anybody home". Turned out to be our daughter and son, Janna & Brian. Judy was flabergasted. What a surprise. They are staying until Wednesday. Sunday morning it was a big breakfast at a nearby restaurant and then off for a walk to show Janna & Brian Duvall St. Saw Jay & his cousin Dr. Phil again--walking down Duvall. Janna & Judy tarried a little bit long in the shops so Brian & I came back to the boat to watch the IU game. Next was the Super Bowl Party on our boat. Capacity crowd of 8 people! Tom & Patsy from True North + the six of us. I took the TV from the forward berth and set it up on the back deck, so we had both TV's and all the chairs full. The game and the food kept everyone's attention until the very end. On Monday evening we took Janna, Brian & Don & Sharon to the sunset celebration, afterwards we violated our rule of not visiting the same restaurant twice and we went to the Schooner Wharf bar to have dinner and listen to the music up close and personal and to show the rest of the crew the "ambiance". True North also joined us.
