February 23-25 Marsh Harbour

No not another pirate party. Just a picture sent to me by Gail from our party at West End. Our routine is becoming a little more settled. I don't know whether the weather is unusual here, but we have not had the AC on even though the temperature has been in the eighties. There is always a fresh breeze blowing. The evenings have been fantastic. No bugs! We leave the boat doors wide open at night and the temperature is about 70. Yesterday I took a dive to give a looksee under the boat as I suspected something had wrapped around one of the props. Sure enough a crab trap rope had managed to wrap around the shaft and a portion around the prop. I have a cutting disc on the shaft and it apparently did its job to keep from completely stopping the prop. No diving equipment, just me trying to swim under the boat and cut the line free. I didn't wear a long sleeve shirt or pants so the barnacles on the bottom of the boat managed to give me some reminders I had tangled with them. About half of the line gave up its grasp after several dives. The rest will have to wait for another day or a professional diver. After that it was pool time and then cocktails on dock 4 and after that dinner with John & Gail at Snappa's restaurant

Jim & Judy, What a great adventure you are having! The Abaco's are a beautiful place, try and visit Guana Key if you get a chance. Dont' worry about your dock back home in Port Clinton as it is securely encased in ice and snow. Temp here today is 14F. Have fun and see you this summer. Dave Modene
