April 15-18 West End

On one of our many beach walks on the Atlantic we came upon this life raft that had been washed up on the beach. No dead bodies inside as near as we could tell. It was not too weather worn but it was filled with sand, so I suspect it had not been there too long. Probably fell off of a boat

Today Wednesday the wind is still howling from the north creating 13' waves out in the Atlantic Gulf stream. The weatherman says it will be Friday before the wind dies down and and then by Sunday the Atlantic should also calm down. In the meantime more boats are arriving-- Linda G and Christmas as well as fellow loopers Ciderella, and Great Expectations (Trish & Jim) whom we had not met before. More boat cleaning to do. On Friday night, Gail & John from Our Time came over for dinner-Judy fixed her award winning meat loaf-- after we had free drinks and snacks at the weekly Resort Welcoming Party. John has to fly home to Canada on Saturday for some long scheduled medical tests so they won't be able to make the crossing with us. The fuel filters on the engines were changed. Sunday the 19th looks good for the crossing-waves 2' or less and a south -southwest wind of 5-10 knots
