It is strange to have to read the charts and cruising guides again. We have been fixtures for so long in only a couple of places we did not need to worry about where our next port of call will be. Stuart Fl about 30 miles to the north on the ICW will be our destination. Actually the mooring field at Stuart is about 5 miles off of the ICW on the Okeechobee waterway. Our departure, after Bahamian Cinnamon bread for breakfast, was at 9am. Lots of bridges in this part of the ICW but we are able to get under them. The houses along the water way are incredible. Many areas of the ICW have no wake or minimum wake zones so we proceed slowly and enjoy the view! Arrival time at the Stuart mooring field was 1:30pm . $11 to anchor and use all of the shore facilities. Off to town we go after parking our dinghy at the dinghy dock. Very neat town-rather upscale-not a lot of junk shops. After touring the town a recommended Mexican restaurant looked very inviting-can't remember our last Mexican meal-must have been on the Tenn-Tom. Wind has died down-temp in the eighties today-should be a peaceful, cool and quiet night at anchorage. The lighthouse picture is of the lighthuse at Port St. Lucie Inlet. sm traveled 4363. 528 engine hours
