Our next hop was a short distance of 7 miles to Manjack Cay-said to be one of the most beautiful of the islands. There are so many beautiful islands but this has to rank near the top in our minds. Gypsy Time decided to travel on to Allens-Pensacola cay (used to be 2 cays but joined by a hurricane). Since we are the bigger boat, Silver Foxes dropped anchor first and then Our Time lands beside us. John says it is like trying to land on an aircraft carrier as our boat continues to swing as he approaches for the side tie. Our anchorage was near several pristine sand beaches where we beached our dinghy and explored both the Sea of Abaco and the Atlantic which was just a short walk through a jungle path. Another peaceful night on the hook
The next leg of our journey to Florida was a trip of about 63 miles to Great Sale Cay. The day was warm and and a little windy. Great Sale is where we stopped on the way over and is a very picturesque anchorage. As we snuggled into the Great Sale cove the wind waves calmed to nil. We were the only two boats anchored here on the way over but tonight we were accompanied by 18 other boats at anchorage, but there is tons of room to anchor. Silver Foxes and Our Time cozied up together at anchorage and Gypsy Time anchored right behind us. Cocktails on our boat was set for 5:30 via conversation on the way over. Another beautiful sunset and a very quiet night at anchorage.
