At the crew meeting this morning, we decided to make a long day and travel to a different anchorage than when we travelled upriver, and determined that Herring Creek would be a good place to put down the anchor tonight. What a great choice. 60 miles downriver, but aided by a nice current push. This Creek with a narrow entrance from the Potomac enters into a really nice protected lake. Good water depth of 8'. Father's day meal was celebrated with steaks on each boat, but Gail baked a cake on the trip today, so we finished with dessert and Irish Coffee together. Another beautiful sunset. Brisk winds today but they were from the north, so Silver Foxes and Our Time had a nice following sea, but there were plenty of whitecaps on the Potomac. The Potomac is a really wide River so it doesn't take much to kick it up
