December 13-18 Marsh Harbour Abacos Bahama

The weather has been windy and a little on the cool side. High in the upper sixties. On Saturday the big event in the area is the Marsh Harbour Christmas Festival . It was a little far to walk to the festival so the four of us (John & Gail and Judy and I ) took a taxi. It didn't take too long to view the craft booths and there were lots of food tents but that wasn't too appealing as we were not far from lunch. A light jacket felt good and it reminded us a little more of Christmas. The music was good and the Defense force band performed on the street. The Prime Minister of the Bahamas also spoke albeit on Bahama time, just a little under an hour late. Judy is shown in the above picture in front of the Rotary food booth. People are starting to leave their boats to go home for the Holidays although there are lots of people staying. John and Gail left Tuesday. Last night we had Pat and Mike from Libations over for dinner. They are fellow loopers from Long Island NY that we met last year. Tuesday and Wednesday the weather has been great. High in the seventies and the breeze is gentle. Today, Wednesday, we announced the winner of the name the snowman contest. Marsh Harbor has a new patron snowman and his name is Marshy. The picture shows us presenting the prize (a bottle of rum) to Ed & Shirley Zellers of Tally Ho. More importantly we raised $75 dollars for Vincent the boat worker on our dock and his Haitian family. Tomorrow, Thursday we head home for the cold Indiana weather. Judy is anxious to see the children and grandchildren. We will return to the boat on January 6th
