Everybody is in the Christmas spirit here at Boat Harbor. No cold weather to help that feeling. The temperature is in the seventies. Many of the boats are decorated with lights. We have nothing of holiday note on board but John and Gail do. After decorating their bow rail with lights they find they also have an 8' blow up Snowman on board. No room for this John said so why don't you put it on the flybridge of Silver Foxes. So up Frosty went on the flybridge. You can see it from all over the Marina. John also came up with the idea that we should rename Frosty so we are holding a contest to name the snowman. It costs you a dollar to enter. The prize is a bottle of rum. All entry fees will be donated to a Haitian family our dock is helping.
Augustine Williams is the canvas man here. He came to the boat and after looking at the damaged top, I agreed to have it replaced. He took some measurements and will get back with me. On Tuesday the Royal Marsh Harbor Yacht Club held it's Christmas Dinner. It was a great meal. Kind of fancy. The girls got all dressed up and I even put on long pants and a long sleeve shirt. 2 drinks and dinner for $10. Yacht club subsidized! the weather has turned windy again. On Friday the resort had a beach party dinner on the beach. Lots of people there and a local band with good music. A little cool and most people were in long pants and a jacket or sweatshirt. The weather here with the exception of a couple of days when we arrived has been unusually cool. Not any different here than at home but sixtyish here versus nasty at home. Coconuts are plentiful here. It is a chore to open one but the coconut is very tasty after getting it open
