Lands End's Dinghy won't run so we need to solve that problem. A call to the local Mercury dealer for help gets a reply that says if you need it in a couple of weeks we can get it running. So we find a " shade tree mechanic" to rebuild the carburetor. He appeared to know what he was doing but after a couple of hours and another trip to the Mercury dealer he gave up. It would run but not stay running. Further inquiry yielded "Dr Tom's" name. He was on the scene in a couple of hours after we called him and within 45 minutes he had the carb apart and found a tiny speck of dirt in one of the ports that Kenny had missed. The dinghy motor runs like a finely tuned sewing machine now.

It looks like it will be a few days before we can cross to Bimini. So we rent a car. Barb doesn't have a TV in their bedroom. Also they cannot hear the Alarm on the GPS if their anchor breaks loose in the night or it fails to reset so we run a wire for a small speaker which can be hooked up to the GPS anchor alarm. Mitch's back is better now so we run the TV and speaker wire. While we have the car we travel on down the road to Islamorada and Tavernier and have lunch at a neat little outdoor bar called Robbie's

A manatee looking at us on the dock. There is also an alligator that lives nearby but he won't pose for a picture. He was by Mitch's boat one afternoon and I could have reached over to pet him but he heard me get my camera out and took a dive.

It looks like Sunday will be a good day to cross so on Saturday we will leave for Pumpkin Key. We are ready to move on. Although it has been fun, we have been velcroed to the dock for too long.
