February 28-29 marsh Harbour

Junkanoo again!! Remember the other night the adult Junkanoo started long after our bedtime and we didn't get to see it. Well the local Chamber of Commerce held a reception for the winter residents here in Marsh Harbour. Free drinks free food and best of all music and entertainment. Part of the entertainment was an adult Junkanoo parade and what a parade it was. The drums, the horns, the costumes, you just want to tap your feet and let the music vibrate through you. I didn't know it, but a Junkanoo parade should have been on my Bucket List!
As to more mundane things. While I had the lazarette cleaned out, that is where the engine oil change pump is located and it was time to change the oil anyway. Easy process-the pump drains the oil out of each engine, as well as pumps the oil back in. Only problem-- I was about 2 gals of oil short, so off to the Napa store to buy 2 gallons of Shell Rotela at Bahamian prices. While I was at in town, I picked up a blue milk carton basket for the foldie and now I look like a local with my rear bike basket. Last night, Scott & Mary from Mascot invited us to their boat for dinner. Very nice, pork chops, polenta & salad. Also coconut pie that Sally from One Oliver II had made from local coconuts. The last two evenings have been a little chilly, requiring us to don a sweatshirt
