John & Carolyn Wake invited us to go to the famous historical cities of Jamestown, Williamsburg & Yorktown on Sunday. Their neighbor has a dock which we pulled into after pulling anchor in Fishing Bay. A very windy day but the dock was well protected from the blustery north winds. John was there to greet us and invited us over to the their house for soup. Dinner conversation turned to hurricanes. The last major hurricane was 5 years ago and the power was out for 12 days but never since they said--no sooner were the words out of their mouth and the power went out. We made our way back to the boat by flashlight. Fired up the generator on the boat and turned on the heat pump. Sunday was a bright sunny cold and blustery day. What an enjoyable trip to the historic cities. Enjoyed Jamestown most. First English settlement. The Queen was here last year for the 200th anniversary of the Settlement.
