October 21-23 Healey Creek Anchorage & Deltaville Marina

On to another anchorage. Just a short distance away is Healy Creek off of the Piankatank River. A beautiful creek and well protected. The water so calm the shoreline was replicated in the mirror like water. A little warmer today. High of 60. On Tuesday we left our peaceful anchorage and returned to Deltaville Marina. Our plan was to stay overnight at Deltaville marina on Tuesday-Gail (John T's) wife would arrive on Wednesday and we would be headed south. As always Mother Nature dictates when you travel. Wednesday the wind blew from the north producing 4-5' waves on the Bay, so again as on Lake Michigan if the wind is from the north you don't go forth and so we stayed put. The same northerly winds will hang around Thursday. Our Looper flag which we fly from the bow makes a lot of racket when the wind is blowing and you are trying to sleep, so I rode the bike to the local canvas shop and had them make a little sleeve to slip over it to quiet it down at night.
