Valentine's day-a busy day. Most everyone in the harbor took a special ferry to Man-O-War Cay which is about 7 miles from Marsh Harbor for their annual Flea market days. Pretty funky but a big deal here. Maybe a thousand extra people on the island where normally maybe 150 people live. Food, junk, as well as some good things sold by vendors set up on the streets (golf cart paths). Several of the girls from the Marina had a special booth and sold some of the jewelry they make. It was a fun morning and then back to the marina for Valentines dinner at Mangoes, a local restaurant with John & Gail and their friends Mike and Janice. On Sunday it was off to church on the local school bus. For those of you who are familiar with the Bishops Fund Drive their quota at St Frances de Sales Church was $3600. To make matters worse only 3% of their parishioners contribute to the fund drive. Anyway Church was lively as always. Tuesday night was Movie night on our boat. We watched Gran Torino. Great movie starring Clint Eastwood. Not out for rental yet so apparently a bootleg copy. John & Gail + Mike and Janice were in the audience. Wed night was rib night at the Jib room. Always a fun evening and finished off by the Limbo man. No Dancing Queen for Judy to dance with this evening. Gail had to fly home the next day as her good friend lost her battle with cancer. On Saturday we took the boats over to Tahiti Beach and lunch at Cracker P's was in order. A beautiful day. You can't take the boat to Cracker P's so we anchor out about a mile from the restaurant and take the dinghy in. After lunch we made our way to Guyana Cay about 15 miles away so we could visit Nippers and Grabbers bar on Sunday. The docks at the newly built Guayna Cay Resort are all new, but unfortunately they didn't make them quite wide enough. Silver Foxes tried to slip in between the pilings but only managed to wedge between the two pilings. Fortunately we backed out and found a dock that more than fit us so we settled in for the night.
